Isla Verde’s home municipality, airport-adjacent hotels, beach-club nightlife, and the eastern San Juan metro’s commercial spine.

Carolina is the municipality immediately east of San Juan that contains Isla Verde — the airport-adjacent beach-hotel corridor — plus the broader commercial-and-residential metro that fans inland from there. The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport sits in Carolina, making the municipality the literal arrival point for most visitors. Isla Verde Beach is the marquee resort-and-swim zone; the surrounding beach-club nightlife (Vivo Beach Club among others) carries the higher-end party programming when international touring acts come through. Carolina has a real JRCM-licensed-dispensary footprint along the PR-3 and PR-26 corridors, serving both the Isla Verde hotel cluster and the broader municipality. For adults 21+ on a temporary patient registration, Carolina is the most airport-convenient base in the metro, with the federal-flight-rule reminder applying to every JRCM-purchased product (it stays in PR, never gets to the airport).
